David Stone Obituary

David R. "Dave" Stone Battle Creek David R. "Dave" Stone, age 54, of Battle Creek, died Saturday afternoon, March 21, 2009, at Battle Creek Health Systems, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Dave was born on October 9, 1954 in Battle Creek and was a lifetime area resident. He was the son of Gordon L. and Marjorie (Pickle) Stone. Dave was 1973 graduate of Pennfield High School and was a licensed, journeyman plumber. He enjoyed hunting and any kind of baseball, especially softball, which he actively played for many years. Dave is survived by his two sons: Bartholomew D. "Bart" (Wanda) Stone of Pasadena, TX and Nathaniel D. "Nate" (Brandie) Stone of Deer Park, TX; five wonderful grandchildren; his brother: Jerry (Dawn) Stone of Battle Creek; and by his former wife: JoAnne M. Byars of Deer Park, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents. As per Dave's request, there will be no visitation or service. The Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek, is in charge of all the arrangements.
