Letha Stafford Obituary

Letha M. Stafford East Leroy Letha Mae Stafford, 92, of East Leroy, died April 3, 2009 at home. She was born May 15, 1916 in Newton Township, the daughter of Harlan and Cora Mae Spooner. Letha worked at Kellogg's in the Packaging Department for 26 years retiring in 1981. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Nelson Stafford on August 11, 1990 and 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Edna Cline of St. Charles, Illinois and Elaine Dewar of East Leroy; four grandchildren and five great grandsons. Letha was a member of the Kellogg's 25 Year Club and attended Leroy Congregational Church. Family will receive friends from 4 until 6:00 p.m. today at Shaw Funeral Home. Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the funeral home with Rev. William Lang officiating. Interment, Leroy Congregational Cemetery. Memorial donations may go to Leroy Congregational Church. The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home. www.shawfuneralhome.com

she was like a great grandma to me and to my brother and were very sad to see her go, but at least now she's in a better place with her husband nelson and dog. we will miss her very much. i will always remeber her and her famous collection of precious moments and how sweet and careing she was to everybody. she will be missed very much and she will always be in our hearts for ever.
we love you very much mrs. stafford,rest in peace.
