Anna Ferguson Obituary

Anna Lee Ferguson Battle Creek Anna Lee Ferguson, 71 of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, April 6, 2009 at the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. She was born September 26, 1937 in Dayton, Tennessee the daughter of Bose and Bertha (Edwards) Dorsey. On April 23, 1959 she was married to Daryl Lee Ferguson in Battle Creek. Together they loved to travel, enjoyed the casinos and family poker games at their home. Anna worked as a server for many years at several area restaurants, including The Date Bar, The Bear Tree and Laverne's. She is survived by her husband; two daughters: Carolyn Mann of Battle Creek, and Kathy Ferguson and Rob Ayotte of Ceresco; her one and only granddaughter: Cara Ferguson; mother: Bertha E. Dorsey of Battle Creek; three brothers: Thomas (Hazel) Dorsey of Tennessee, Bose (Darlene) Dorsey of Battle Creek and Jake (Carol) Dorsey of Delton; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend Vonda. Anna was preceded in death by her father, and son-in-law: Douglas Mann. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with the Rev. Brenda M. Clark officiating. Private interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the Parkinson's Foundation.
