Joseph V. Domingo Sr.

Joseph V. Domingo, Sr. Homer Joseph V. Domingo, Sr., age 84, formerly of Albion, passed away Monday, April 13, 2009 at his residence in Homer with family and Hospice present. He was born in Albion on February 10, 1925 to Frank and Rosario (DiAngelo) Domingo. Joseph served our Country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a lifelong resident of Albion and spent winters in Texas. He was a wounded WWII veteran and the retired owner of Domingo Construction Company which he owned and operated for over 50 years. He was a life member of the Albion VFW, Elks, American Legion, Moose and several other organizations. Survivors include: daughters Sue (Bob) Clevenger, Mary Jo Hagerman, Jenny (Brian) Marsh; sons, John D. Domingo, Larry (Janet) Domingo and Albion Mayor, Joseph V. (Jill) Domingo, Jr; one sister, Antionette (Dale) Canull; daughter-in-law, Peggy Domingo; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Yvonne Michael Domingo, one son, James Domingo, one daughter, Sandra Watson, one brother, Tony Domingo, and his children's mother, Mary Lutzke Cashner. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 16, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive in Albion. According to his wishes, he will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
