Dollie Chadderdon Obituary

Dollie E. Chadderdon Battle Creek Dollie E. Chadderdon, age 94, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. She was born February 25, 1915, in Annapolis, MO, the daughter of Jake and Sarah Edna (Inman) Brewer. Dollie came to Michigan from Missouri when she was nineteen. She was employed by the Kellogg Company during WWII and was also previously employed by OK Laundry and other Battle Creek cleaners. Dollie enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting and sewing. She married Mr. Lee Douglas in 1934. He preceded her in death in 1970. Together they lived in Battle Creek and also had a farm in Dayton, TN. Dollie was also preceded in death by her second husband, Mr. Harold Chadderdon, in 1999. Dollie is survived by her son, Gilbert (Wanda) Douglas of Battle Creek. She also leaves three grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One of ten children, she is survived by her brother, Winford (Dorothy) Brewer and her sister, Mary Dugger. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Royal Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 1:30 p.m.
