Barbara Price Obituary

Barbara Jean Price Bradenton, FL Barbara Jean Price, age 81, formerly of Battle Creek, MI, went peacefully to be with the Lord at her residence in Bradenton, FL on April 16, 2009. She was preceded in death by her sons Michael Dean and Patrick Lynn Price. She is survived by her oldest son, Terry Stewart Jackson of Wildwood, FL, daughter Amy Susan Seymour of Kalamazoo, MI and son Randall Lee Price of Caledonia, MI. She has 6 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren. Barbara was the first single parent in the State of Michigan to become a licensed Foster Care Home in 1965. She provided loving care and support to over 75 foster babies and children until 1972. Moving to Florida, she continued to work as a loving care giver, helping to provide comfort to young and old alike through 2002. Barbara loved the natural beauty of trees. She admired the miracles of nature that trees provided in their multiple forms of growth and left her "green" imprint on our environment by planting at least one or more trees every year since the early 1980s. Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral services. A tree will be planted in her honor each year to comply with her wishes and to continue her legacy.
