Diane Myers Obituary

Diane L. Myers Battle Creek Diane Lynn Myers, age 57, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away quietly on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at her home in Battle Creek, MI. She was born February 28, 1952 in Battle Creek, MI the daughter of Gordon E. Myers and Mary Dell (Leggit) Myers. Diane had been a licensed surgical and ICU nurse 43 years, several years in Texas and for 37 years at Battle Creek Health System, retiring because of disability in February 2006. She kept renewing her license online hoping to be physically active again in the field of nursing. She is survived by three sisters: Carol Ann and Joseph L. Pajak of Battle Creek, Sharon K. Alkema of Collierville, TN, Mary L. Manfrida of Phoenix, Arizona, and her good friends Laura L. Henderson and Sarah C. Riter both of Battle Creek. She was preceded in death by her parents and Aunt Helen Hancock (2007). Diane graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1970, attended nursing school in Texas. Diane really enjoyed working as a nurse and was very discouraged when she could no longer do her work. She had cats as pets through the years and they always brightened her day. She loved science fiction books and always would go to WalMart on Tuesday's for the newest DVD releases, loved gardening and crocheting. She was an extremely good friend to those who knew her. No services will be scheduled at this time; according to her wishes cremation will be conducted. Memorial tributes may be made to Humane Society - South Central Michigan. Arrangements by the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, a member by invitation Selected Independent Funeral Homes. (269)965-5145 www.bachmanhebble.com
