Mary L. Wilkowski Marshall Mary Louise Wilkowski, age 78, of Marshall, died at Oaklawn Hospital in the loving care of her family Friday morning, May 29, 2009. Mary was born January 30, 1931 in Hamtramck to John Joseph and Barbara Elizabeth (Zelenak) Fedorko. She attended St. Cyril and Methodius Parish Grade School and then Girl's Catholic Central High School in 1949. While as young girl she worked at her father's neighborhood grocery and convenience store in Warren, Michigan and later for a family physician in Detroit. She was married on May 18, 1957 in Detroit to Edward A. Wilkowski. The couple moved from Detroit to Warren in 1961, then moved to Marshall in 1967. After moving here Mary worked for a short time at Raab Insurance Agency in Battle Creek. She then went to work at Southern Michigan Mutual Insurance in Marshall where she worked until her retirement. Mary Lou was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. She was a wonderful cook, she enjoyed reading, quilting, sewing, time spent with her family and friends. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara (William) Baird of Bloomington, IL and Mary (Bill) Patterson of Marshall; two sons, John (Sheila) Wilkowski of Portage and Edward E. (Micha) Wilkowski of Murfreesboro, TN; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Daniel J. (Lucy) Fedorko of Farmington and John H. (Pat) Fedorka of St. Clair Shores; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by twin siblings, shortly after their birth and her parents. Friends may call at Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Sunday 1-8 p.m. with family present to receive visitors from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 1 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marshall. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Oaklawn Hospice or
