Pressley Dougherty Obituary

Pressley S."Bud" Dougherty Battle Creek Pressley S. "Bud" Dougherty, age 92, of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, May 25, at home surrounded by loving family. Bud was born July 7, 1916, in Craig, MO, to Albert and Dora (Alexander) Dougherty. He married Marie (Davis) Dougherty 73 years ago and she resides in the home Bud retired from the Kellogg Company and was involved in the 25 Year Club, Retiree's Association, and the Moose Club. He enjoyed bowling, boating, hunting, golfing, building bird houses, and working in his garage. Survivors include sisters, Nora Holder and Colleen Wright; a daughter, Sharon Rose (Gary) Blankenship; grandchildren; Danny (Linda) and Dennis (Denise) Blankenship, and Daneen (Tim) Cole and families, and best friend-dog (Shadow). He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Gayla Ann; sister, Alberta Low; and brothers, John, Karl, and Warren Dougherty. A celebration of Bud's life will be at their home Sunday, June 7, from noon to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bud's name will be forwarded to the Mound City, MO, Senior Nutrition Center.
