Marian Jackson Obituary

Marian W. Jackson Algonac Marian W. Jackson, formerly of Algonac, passed away June 1, 2009 in St. Clair, MI. She was born on January 29, 1915 in Rochester, NY. She married Hugh R. Jackson on August 14, 1943. He passed away on August 29, 1962. Marian worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Co. for 12½years. She retired from the Algonac Community Schools as Secretary to the Principal after 10 years of service. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Algonac and a member of the Metropolitan Club Auxiliary. In retirement, she loved to travel and spend time watching the freighters go by from her deck. She is survived by three sons, Hugh (Jannette), James (Janette) and Jay. A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, Algonac, on Saturday June 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation with the family will be at 10:00 a.m. She has donated her body to the U-M Medical School Department of Anatomy. Memorials may be made to St. John's Hospice or the Algonac Education Enrichment Fund. Arrangements are by Gilbert Funeral Home in Algonac. www.gilbertfuneralhomeinc.com
