Donovan P. Fidler

Donovan P. Fidler Marshall Donovan P. Fidler, age 56, died peacefully at his home on June, 3, 2009. Mr. Fidler was born on May 13, 1953 in Ann Arbor to Ron and Mary Edwina (Biek) Fidler. He has been a resident of the Marshall area since 1990, moving here from Ann Arbor. Mr. Fidler had been involved in the field of Theater Management for 30 years, working in many surrounding communities. On May 23, 1981, he married the former Cindy Fry in Ann Arbor. Donovan was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and was always in the company of his faithful companion, Zoey, he golden retriever. He owned property in the Charlevoix area and enjoyed many family outings there. Mr. Fidler was a very social and outgoing person; he enjoyed the interaction with and company of his many loving friends. But above all, Donovan was a devoted family man, his love and devotion for his wife and children were his main focuses in life. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 28 years, Cindy; daughter, Hillary Fidler of Marshall; sons, Ryan Fidler and Kevin Fidler of Marshall; brother, John (Diana) Fidler of Ocala, FL; sister, Laura (Larry) Harrigan of Petaluma, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Snavley and Mary Clydesdale. The family will receive friends at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Monday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate the gift of his life will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2009 at the funeral home with Reverend Fr. James Barrett officiating. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the Donovan P. Fidler Memorial Fund (Children's College Education Fund).
