Margaret Baxter Obituary

Margaret P. Baxter Marshall Margaret P. Baxter, age 99, of Marshall died Sunday morning, June 14, 2009 at the Country Livin Adult Foster Care Home in Olivet. Mrs. Baxter was born on October 27, 1909 in Charlotte, Michigan to Fred and LaVern (Pagh) Loomis. She had been a life long resident of this area. Margaret taught in the surrounding area country schools for eighteen years. In 1937, she married Leonard H. Baxter in Angola, Indiana. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1989. She loved attending the Calhoun County Fair. A favorite highlight of hers was in 2004 when she rode on Jim's Wagon and team of horses in the fair's parade. Margaret's family was very important to her. In years past, Margaret and her sisters were seen quite frequently together. She also loved her German Shepherd dogs and Persian cats. For the last several months, Margaret was a resident at the Country Livin Adult Foster Care. The family truly appreciated the kindness, patience and excellent care of Tim, Sandy and Janell. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn K. (Jim) Hamilton of Marshall; son, Larry (Bonnie) Baxter of Marshall; grandchildren, Bob (Amy) Baxter, Jackie Baxter, Mark (Tina) Hamilton and Lori (Mike) Murphy, James Hamilton, Eric Hamilton, Brodey Baxter and Emiley Baxter; sister-in-law, Dora Eyre of Houston, TX.
