Charleen Anita Smith St Petersburg, FL Charleen Anita Smith, 63, of St. Petersburg. Charleen passed unexpectedly Thursday, June 18, 2009. Born in Battle Creek, MI, she retired here in 1999. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed her crafts. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, dogs Bella & Bailey and her cat El Gato. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Evelyn Dewey and Paul Joseph (Evangeline) Hughes and husband of 30 years Ross Edward Smith. She is survived by her children Stacy Ann (Scott) Hendon and twin David Wayne Shrontz, Battle Creek, MI, Ericka L. (John) Unger, Lutz, FL; grandchildren Olivia, John, and Jacob Unger, Lutz, FL, Danielle Hendon and Justin Shrontz, Battle Creek, MI; and brothers Gerald Hughes, Italy and Paul James "Jimmy" Hughes, CA. In lieu of flowers donations to the SPCA. A memorial service will be held Tuesday June 23, 2009 at Reese Funeral Home 727 391-9954.
