Laurie was our son's bus driver for the past several years. This is truly a loss for each of us. She was a caring, kind, fun person who took special interest in each one of her "kids". What a wonderful person.

I only just met Laurie at Amanda's bachelorette party. And in that short a time i already knew she had an amazing energy about her. I felt comfortable instantly. Not many people make such an instant lasting impression like that. I am honored to have had what little time i had with her. best wishes to all of her loved ones.

I was blessed to know Laurie just a short time...she was a vibrant, loving woman. I enjoyed riding the bus with her and Janet. She will be greatly missed! To the family, I am sorry for your loss. Before I lost my sister, she told me that everyone is a rose on a bush and God only pics the most beautiful roses for his bouquets...you are in my prayers.

Melody just told me about Laurie tonight when she said she went to her funeral. I didn't realize she had passed away. I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Goodbye my friend. I'm going to miss you...the talks, the laughter, your sparkling eyes and "shopping in my garage".
Bill and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so very sorry for the loss of your loved one. She was so special and everyone that met Laurie loved her.
Although Laurie is no longer with us, nothing can erase the fabulous memories of this wonderful woman.

Laurie was my bus driver back to Harper from the tech center every morning for 2 years. It didn't matter if I was not having a good day and it didn't matter how tired I was, there wasn't any way to keep from smiling or even laughing every time I got on that bus and saw her with her huge smile. You always made all of us laugh and you will be missed.

I, too, worked with Laurie at the Attic Lounge and we hung out even after I quit. She was a good friend and a lot of fun with a different sense of humor that I loved. It makes me sad to know she's left her mortal earth, even though we had lost touch over the years. I hope she has found the peace she so deserves.

I worked with Laurie at the Attic Lounge many years ago. She added laughter and fun any time she was there. It was always a joy to work with her!
My heart is heavy for her family and friends. Losing her is so very difficult. May your memories of her smile bring you peace. May the memories of her love comfort you. Know there are many people praying for you.

Laurie taught my daughter and me a lifetime of lessons about love, dignity and respect for special needs students in only 4 years. As long as we are able to share this with others than she will always be here. Anytime we hear a silly song or an old Broadway tune we'll smile and remember the good days.

I met Laurie about 3 years ago and she greeted me with her sparkling eyes and wit. I will miss that now along with our chats and joking online, Last time I seen her I met Bill and she had such a new smile and outlook. My prayers go out to Bill and the family, Im going to truely miss my Yobunny and all her lil beaver freinds. The world is just a lil darker without you. Rest in Peace my Freind

Laurie was more than Lauren's bus driver. She was a true friend. Our entire family, including the furry members, enjoyed meeting her each day and truly appreciated her wit, wisdom, and caring spirit. Laurie will be sorely missed.

Bill and Mandy: We are so very sorry for your loss. She had so much love to share.She was so proud of Mandy and her beautiful family. She said so many, many times. Also that she and Bill were dating again. We had alot of fun at work back in the "Good Old Days". We even had a few fun weekend trips. {FLINT} Also our "liver" dinners. Laurie was there to comfort and care for all of Amanda's friends, among many others. She was like a mother, a friend and a teacher to those she graced with her presence. She will never be forgotten, always be missed and will live on through the memories and knowledge she passed onto so many people.

Laurie was my son's busdriver for several years. She had such a wonderful sense of humor and took great pride in her job. It was very apparent that she loved all of the kids on her bus. We loved her jokes as well. Like the time she threw fake yellow flowers all over our lawn so my ex husband would think we had dandelions. Or the time I had stuff on my porch to be picked up by the Salvation Army. Laurie grabbed something from the pile, wrapped it up, and had my son give it to me as a gift. I know that you are still with us Laurie watching over all of our kids.

Laurie always kept us laughing with her jokes and good sense of humor. She was known as our "crazy Wednesday Girl". We will miss the banana bread in mason jars! Rest in peace Laurie and you will always be in our prayers.

Laurie was one of the very first people I met after joining AOL. And she was a ray of sunshine always. She met most of my family and was adored by them all. She was amazingly supportive when my nephew lost his leg. she drove hours just to sit with my family while he was in a coma. Ill never forget her smile and laugh...we shared many nights together just having fun. Laurie I love you....Marco/Pola will never be the same
