Linda Baker Obituary

Linda S. Baker Battle Creek Linda S. Baker, 60, of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, July 22, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. She was born September 11, 1948, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Merl L. and Geneva L. (DeKilder) Lammers. Linda was a 1966 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. Linda was a homemaker until her children entered school. In 1983 she entered the adult foster care field and later owned and operated two adult foster care homes. She retired in 2004. Linda loved family gatherings and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling and had visited all the states except Alaska. Linda loved to be "up north" and enjoyed looking for Elk or other animals. Her other interests included playing cards, visiting casinos, and paint by number kits. She married Jim Baker on August 26, 1967 in Battle Creek. He survives her. She also leaves her children, Tim (Misty) Baker, Tammy Lang, and Tony (Kammy) Baker all of Battle Creek; and her grandchildren, Shelby, Jessica, Cody, Lynsey, Sadie, Chad, Ashley and Christopher. She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter Miranda Lang. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m Thursday at Royal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 26, 2009 at Royal Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Good Samaritan Hospice Residence.
