Olive Foley Obituary

Olive L. Foley Homer Olive L. Foley, Age 93, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall. She was born November 22, 1915 in Homer to B. G. and May Fisher. On August 14, 1938 she married Phayon W. Foley who preceded her in death on December 31, 2001. Olive was a Dental Assistant for Dr. Jones in Homer and then Dr. Rahrig in Albion for many years. She also farmed with her husband. Olive was a very active member of First Presbyterian Church of Homer and was a Deacon. She was also a part of the group called Lend A Hand. She helped deliver Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing, hunting and camping. She was a Life Member of Eastern Star. Survivors included: a daughter, Phyllis Moor of Homer, a son Michael (Marla) Foley of Ft. Collins, CO; 2 grandchildren Jennifer (Jon) Clemens and Jason Foley; a sister Rhoda Hartzell of Spring Arbor and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Flora Belle Bouldry. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 29, at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, with Reverend Tim Marvel officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Homer. Visitation will be Sunday, June 28, from 2:00 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church of Homer or Homer Library. www.kevintiddfuneralhome.com
