Melvin Ray "Big Mel" Pace Albion Melvin Ray "Big Mel" Pace, 53, of Albion, passed away July 2, 2009 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall. He was born February 28, 1956 in Albion to John Lindy and Pearlie (Poe) Pace. He was married to Malinda Carter December 23, 2000 in Albion. He has been a resident of the area all of his life. He worked for a while at Marshall Iron and Metal. He also worked at Tomac Woods Golf Course as a Groundskeeper. He enjoyed Bowling and his Cars. He is survived by his wife Malinda of Albion; 3 Daughters Mercedes Pace, Amber Mulkey, and Kaitlyn Pace all of Albion; 3 Sons Kenny Pace, Dakota Pace, and Jeffrey Pace all of Albion; 2 stepsons Shawn Bryant and Cody ( Fiance Ella Anderson) Bryant both of Albion. 2 Sisters Christine (Ernest) Mulkey of Olivet; and Teresa (Mike) Hamilton of Albion. Nieces and Nephews Duane, Amanda, Brian, Laura, Tina, Chrissy, John, Dewey, James, Jeremy, Michael and several great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers Larry and Douglas Pace. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday July 6, 2009 from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224. Funeral Services will be Tuesday July 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Ellis Howard officiating.
