Lorraine St. John Obituary

Lorraine E. St. John Ceresco Lorraine E. St. John, 89, of Ceresco, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at her son's home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 30, 1920 in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of John R. and Hattie K. (Hattamer) Robarge. She has worked at Brigg & Stratton, Milwaukee Transformer, Oster and at Interbake Foods here retiring when they closed. Lorraine Elizabeth Robarge was united in marriage to Joseph H. St. John, August 29, 1952 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death January 9, 1997. She is survived by her sons, Greg St. John of Ceresco, Bruce Lillback and Larry Lillback both of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Windy and Chris St. John; Steven, Jimmy, Cody, Chris and Tiffany Lillback; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Kalia, Jessica, Amber, Cody and Jasmine; and also by special extended family members, Ron and Marcia Burrows, Darlene Dec, Rick and Theresa Hager, Ron Jr. and Connie Burrows and Charles and Ruby Armstrong. In addition to her husband, Joseph, Lorraine was preceded in death by a son, Warren Lillback; her parents; two sisters, Betty Steigner, Vernie Cook; and a brother, Harvey Robarge. Lorraine enjoyed playing bingo, dice and poker. She loved ballroom dancing, spending time with and cooking large dinners for her family. She was well known as a very caring and giving person. She would give her last twenty dollars to someone in need of help and go without herself. At the request of the family, friends will be received one hour prior to the services at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 15, 2009 with the Rev. James L Sparks, officiating. Interment will take place at Morgan Cemetery next to her husband. Friends who wish may make memorial contribution to the family. Personal remembrances may be made at www.farleyestesdowdle.com
