Paul Eilers Obituary

Paul H. Eilers Paul Henry Eilers died July 12, 2009. He was born January 24, 1960 to M. Jean Eilers and Henry L. Eilers in Battle Creek, Michigan. He graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1978, where he still holds the school record for the 200 IM in swimming. Upon graduation from Central Michigan University with a BA in business, Paul started a long career selling cars for Ford. He stayed involved with his swimming passion by officiating meets up until this past year. Paul married in 1984 and had two beautiful daughters, Ashley Lauren and Brittany Lee. They were the light of his life. Paul is survived by his parents, Henry L. Eilers of Galveston, TX and Jean Eilers of Waterford, MI; his two daughters; a sister and her husband, Peggy and Karl Weber; 3 nephews, Nick, Joe and John Weber; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Paul loved his friends, sporting events and cruising on his boat on Cass Lake. The family thanks you for your concern, love and friendship for Paul. I can't tell you how sad I was to hear that we have lost Paul. It was wonderful to see him at the class reunion and how great he looked then. We spent alot of years together swimming at the pool and at Clear Lake camp!! What a beautiful person who will be greatly missed in this world but lives on in the next and in our hearts!! We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Paul. Our families spent many Thanksgivings together as well as get-togethers throughout the year. I always remember his Hot Wheels collection and playing Monopoly and Stock Market with him - he seemed to always win!
My folks and his folks were great friends and both my mom and I send our deepest sympathy, thoughts, and prayers to Jean, Hank and Cy,Peggy and her family.

My prayers go out to Paul's family at this sad time. I didn't know him very well but he always was nice to me in school and whenever I saw him over the last 30 yrs. We even spoke alittle at our reunion last year.

I am sure Paul is at peace now and happy. He will ALWAYS be with you.

My condolences to Paul's family in this sad time. You may take heart to know that Paul was one of the best souls I have ever known and will be sorely missed by those of us who were lucky enough to know him.

He was one of the few people I have met in my life that demonstrated to me what real courage looks like and there are not enough people left in this world like him.

I sincerely hope our paths cross again.
