Marion Fairchild-Wall Obituary

Marion Fairchild-Wall Battle Creek Marion Fairchild-Wall, age 83, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. Marion was born November 4, 1925 in Emmett Township the daughter of Jesse and Alice (Robinson) Myers. She was a 1943 graduate of Marshall High School and a member of Newton United Methodist Church. Prior to her retirement in 1989, Marion worked as a Wedding Consultant at Capital Florist for 23 years. On July 19, 1945 she was united in marriage to Everett R. Fairchild who passed away on August 25, 1979. She later married John "Jack" Wall on June 17, 1989 who passed away on June 16, 2003. Surviving are four children: Darlene (Rev. Douglas) Pedersen of Leland, Doreatha (Sid) Webb of Pennfield Township, Rosemary (Stephen) Zaborski of Battle Creek and John E. Fairchild of Battle Creek; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one brother, Russell Myers of Battle Creek. Visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4:00 p.m. and 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at the Newton United Methodist Church, 8804 F Drive South with Rev. Nancy Powers officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to the church or the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility.

We had the honour of being Marion's neighbours for the years that she was married to Jack Wall. Our family felt she was an adopted grandmother. We have many great memories of our visits with Marion and Jack. They were fantastic neighbors and friends. We greatly missed Marion when she moved back to Michigan and did visit a few times. As always, at times like this we wish we had went more often. She is often in our thoughts and will always be in our memories. Bye Marion...
