Verlie M. Dyer

Verlie M. Dyer Battle Creek Verlie M. Dyer, 87 of Battle Creek died Friday August 7, 2009 at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. She was born on February 5, 1922 in Bay City, MI. Verlie graduated from Hopkins High School in 1940. She married Noel A. Dyer on May 4, 1946 in Hopkins, he preceded her in death in 1992. Verlie delivered the Battle Creek Enquirer for 30 years retiring in 1996. She is survived by daughters, Bonnie S. Newton, of Seminole, FL,; and Janeine A. Hansen, of Battle Creek; and several grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son Richard Dyer. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday August 13, 2009 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home where services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday. Entombment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
