Ethel Davis Obituary

Ethel Davis Battle Creek Ethel Louise Davis, 66, of Battle Creek, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009. Mrs. Davis the daughter of Ronald and Ethelrene Jackson was born May 1, 1943, in Union Springs, Alabama. She attended the public schools and graduated from high school. She moved from Union Springs, to Battle Creek, in 1967. She was employed by the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Dietary Services and retired in 1991, with twenty-two years of service. She enjoyed sewing and bowling. Mrs. Davis was a member of Bethlehem Temple of Springfield. She was a member of the Senior Usher Board, where she served as President. She was the former Church Assistant Secretary. Survivors include her husband, Fred Davis of Springfield, daughter, Barbara Davis of Battle Creek, step-son, Anthony (Scarlett) Burch of Hamilton, Ohio, step-daughters, Patricia (Ronnie) Evans, Battle Creek, Tonya Fields, Flint, brother-in-law, Clarence (Jean) Davis, sisters-in-law, Maxine (James) Scott, Jackie (Ted) Davis, Willa Woodson, aunt, Lucille Green, special friends, Buck and Phyllis Funderbuck and Beverly Olds all of Battle Creek, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a step-son, Jerrod Bryant. Visitation, T M Hughes-Perry Mortuary, Sunday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Service, 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2009, Bethlehem Temple Springfield, with Pastor Ollie Rudolph, Officiating Interment, Reese Cemetery, Springfield Arrangements, T M Hughes-Perry Mortuary, LLC
