I will always remember Tony, as he always remembered me. Tony~Felpausch will never be the same without, you always spoke to me and I loved working with you. I will miss seeing your smiling face. I have moved to Muskegon, but still saw you when I came to B. C.

To the Ashley Family:
May the Lord be your strength, and the Holy Spirit be your comfort during these difficult days.
Tony was the little bru of Northside Dr. He would get mad at us when we were afraid to let me play tackle on the "dirt road". Eventually he start coaching, telling us how to run the next play.
As soon as I say that picture with that smile, it brought back a multitude of memories. Northside Dr. was all family. Every house on Northside Dr. have that picture. Tony will never be forgotten. We will keep the family in pray.
Love ya! and God Bless.

My hearfelt sympathies go out to all of the Ashley family members and anyone who loved him. I did not realize that he was related to Niko until I read the obituary. I remembered Tony's smile and friendlyness though from my days of shopping at the pennfield Felpaush, Tony always greeted me with a smile and called my name, he knew my children as well, and treated them very kindly, and if they were acting wrong, he would encourage them to act correct. I will miss you Tony. Let's all try to treat each other the way that Tony treated me, I know I will try harder in my daily life, Tony was an excellent example of "treating someone the way you would want to be treated". Save a seat for me TONY!!!

When I was younger I used to wonder why every time I would stand in the darkness and see my brother laugh and smile why he would do so. It dawned on me years later that anyone in their right mind could only be so lucky to feel the joy that he felt in his heart every day that he lived. I regret that I was not around him more but I can also be thankful that I was there to learn so much from him before the Lord chose him to be apart of a greater plan. I feel so much stronger because of him and I can appreciate life and the people that I have in my life because of Tony. I will hold him in my heart always. Thank you brother.

As many know Tony was a long time freindly fixture at Felpausch. I'm one of the few that got to work with him at Cut-Rate, before the Felpausch years. He was the senior parceler there and all the other parcelers wanted his schedule because he'd worked there the longest and had the best hours. He also lived on the same street as me and my family, often coming to offer to shovel the driveway at our house. Of course mom made us kids do the work so she rarely had Tony do the shoveling, but he'd always clear a small path to the mailbox anyway, I guess sensing that mom was alone and would probably appreciate the gesture. Many times I'd see Tony at the store buying beer, as was I, and he'd ride with me the rest of the way home to our neighborhood and we'd both drink the first beer or two together before I'd mosey up the block to my house. I'd always ask about how his hot sister was doing, he'd reply, "she'll woop yer butt, Brent!" I coached his little brother, Shawn, in track at Pennfield. I guess Tony's life touched mine and my family's in many ways for many reasons over many, many years. His passing came as a surprise to me this week. I wish I could drive down Morgan Road just one more time and scoop him up, stop by the C-store, grab a beer and shoot the breeze in the driveway just one more time. Tony, thank you for being so cool to me and for being so kind to my mother for so many years. Keep a couple on ice for me bro, I'm gonna do another lap around the block. I'll see you when I get there!
Your friend,
Brent

Not many people can say that they stood in the presence of an angel. I was blessed to live with one. I not only looked to you as my uncle but as a father. You always had high hopes for me and never gave up on what you saw God doing in my life. No matter how many times I fell you were always there to soften the impact. To say I love you would be an insult to the way that I feel about you. You taught me that you have to work hard to obtain the things that you desire and by the sweat of my brow I would be blessed. You also taught me to look deeper into a person and ignore the obvious, because the true beauty of a person lies deep within their soul. You loved from the inside out, and because you did you were able to love the world. I admire you....I love you...I miss you...and I adore you. You are truly the wind beneath my wings. I thank God for you and I will see you again and that's a promise!
"Lord let me so live, so that those who don't know you, will want to know you because they know me!".....Uncle Tony did just that.
Love forever and beyond

I miss my little brother. He always critized me when I missed an easy shot in my games, telling me what I did wrong.I miss you so much and most of all I will miss sharing our birthdays together for Feburary 11 will always be our day of celebration. It is so hard for me to know that you are no longer here on earth, but I know that you are smiling down on me from above making angels smile with your good sense of humor. I know that God has told you "Well done my son you did a good job" I often talked about you to my wife and she tells me that you had to be one of God's angels walking on earth. You have left a mark on us all, one that we will carry to the end. I miss you, I love you, your brother Tony.

Condolences to the Ashley family. I am very sorry to hear about the death of Tony. As you know we all grew up together and we all remember him well. I was in town over the 4th of July and Roger brought Tony to our 4th of July Bar-B-Que. Everyone there young and old was surprised to see Tony, because we hadn’t seen him in a while. He really had a good time. He had a chance to hangout with the friends he grew up with. Little did we know it would be the last time we would see him. Tony was strong, even to the end. Tony is with the lord now so you don’t have to worry. He’s working at the grocery store with the one almighty.

To the family, I extend my deepest regards. I feel I have lost a brother. To Tony's mom, thank you for sharing your heavenly gift with us over all these years. I have known Tony it seems forever. We graduated from high school together, he loved the class of 1980, and everybody in the class loved him. I'm so grateful Roger brought him over to the Lett's Fourth of July weekend, we had a wonderful time, and I believe Tony really enjoyed himself as well. He sure did eat! To Tony, in heaven above, thank you for your spirit you gave to each of us, you helped us see that's it's okay to smile, and be kind to others just as God ask's us to do. Heaven truly lived in you without a doubt. You know in August they have a National Smile Day now whenever this day comes around again each year I will be reminded of you my friend. I will make it my mission to smile more, and hug more, and love more that is your legacy to me. My brother, my classmate, my friend I will miss you much. Until we meet again.....

“I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment, and life's greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their dreams from those who live in regret.” This quote describes Tony to me...the other day I was at McDonalds and I didn't see Tony and I wondered about him. I will miss him. We use to play together on Northside Dr when my Uncle Douglas Gray and Mack hung out. Be strong and of good courage. May the peace of God be with the family.

It saddens me to hear of Tony's passing. We worked together a few years back at the Pennfield Felpausch and I could always count on him to make me laugh. He attended school with my younger siblings, and we had a running joke where he would always call me by the wrong name. Such a sweetheart - he was truly one of the good guys.
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I am truly sorry for your loss but truly greatful Tony is no longer in pain. Diana you have to know you are a great mother with an increadable amount of love for your children. You put Tony first and took him in to love and care for him while holding on to your sanity by a thread but smiling his way when he looked. You have a great angel looking down on you each and every day of your life. Remember, you made each one of his last days the best with your strength and in return God will give you the strength to get through this and be at peace one day, just allow it to happen. Sherri, I saw a beautiful person in you when you stood up and supported your family. Tony was lucky to have a sister like you. You stood by him until the end while helping to look after your mom. I hope you peace and comfort during this time of your life and always, you deserve it. Tony was one person I will not forget. He was a positive person who smiled in the worst of times and was greatful for each day he had. I will truly miss seeing him in the office and knowing he was truly greatful for any thing I was to do for him. I wish the whole family to be peacful and remember you where the ones who gave him the greatest last days anyone could ask for while being strong. May God bless you all and keep you close, I know Tony will be there always within your hearts, reminding you life is to short and love has to be everyday and always.

I'm very sorry to hear about Tony. I remember him from back in 1979-80 when we were at the Tech Center (then the Vo-Ed). Tony and I have been friends since we were children and developed a strong and loving bond between one another during our years at Northwestern jr. High School where we would sit and share our lunches together often cracking jokes about crushes he had on many of the girls. No matter how long it would go between the times we would see one another we always were glad when we did. Tony always had a kind word for me. I will miss you my special friend and love you always within my heart. GOD Bless your family and my they find comfort in knowing how truly wonderful your are. Sherri, GOD Bless you for being there for Tony all those years ago and letting him hang out with you. You always made sure he got to do what everyone else did. He thought his butt was so "Cool" when he'd step into those parties with his big sister especially because she would be the prettiest girl there!!! Tony liked to dance too. I'd always make him slow dance with me and I be chanting "step, step. and once he got the hang of it... he dropped me like a bad habit and started dance with everybody at the parties. Well I sat here and shared my memories and shed a few tears and now I will say "GOODBYE MY DEAR FRIEND".
