LaVinna J. Edgerton

LaVinna J. Edgerton Battle Creek LaVinna J. Edgerton, 84 of Battle Creek died Tuesday September 8, 2009 at Laurels of Bedford. She was born on September 11, 1924 in Fremont, MI to Raymond and Elevina (Hansen) Baker. LaVinna was a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Battle Creek Central High School in1942. She enjoyed being a housewife all of her life. LaVinna also enjoyed golfing and was a member of Riverside Country Club for 38 years. On July 2, 1942 she was united in marriage to Walter Edgerton, he preceded her in death on October 16, 2008. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ned Baker. Surviving are, sons, Walter L. (Sandy) Edgerton Jr., of Venice, FL and Gregory L. (Mira) Edgerton, of Okemos, MI; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.
