John Lazarus Obituary

John C. Lazarus Springfield John C. Lazarus, 45 of Springfield died Thursday September 17, 2009 at Battle Creek Health System. He was born on March 13, 1964 in Lansing, son of William and Judith (Hills) Lazarus. John graduated from Homer High School in 1982. He was an electrician, member of Union #445. John was also a member of Faith Baptist Church where he enjoyed playing the saxophone. John married Lisa J. Zimmerman on March 18, 1989 in Albion, she survives. Also surviving are his children, Joshua J., Lucas M., and Hannah E. Lazarus, all of Battle Creek, his parents William & Judith Lazarus, of Homer, brother, William Glen Lazarus, of Albion, and sisters, Debra Lazarus-Torrey, of Albion, Ellen Newman, of Albion, Jill Mestdagh, of Homer, and Jaye Nevins, of Three Rivers. Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Jim P. Augustine officiating. Interment will follow at Beckley Cemetery
