Brenda Doss

Brenda (Bard) Doss Hamilton Brenda (Bard) Doss of Hamilton, MI, age 47, passed away Friday, September 18, 2009 in Hamilton surrounded by love. Brenda was born October 2, 1961 in Battle Creek to Paul and Judith (Johnston) Bard. Brenda was a loving wife and mother. She had worked for Upjohn and State Farm Insurance. She was an avid softball fanatic and attended any game she could find. While being a lifelong Detroit Tigers fan, she used her talent to scrapbook and make beautiful crafts for the people she loved. Brenda didn't stop her studies after graduation day; she remained a bookworm throughout life and loved learning. On April 17, 1991 she married Mark Doss who survives. Also surviving are her children, Sarah and Jeffrey Doss; her mother, Judy of Kalamazoo and her father, Paul of Union City; her sisters, Debbie (Jim) VanOrder, Sandy Cummins; her sisters-in-law, Patsy (Albert) Hoekstra, Joyce (Dennis) Nelson; brothers-in-law, Mitch Doss and Rodney Doss; her mother-in-law, Rachel (Dave) Richer; nieces and nephews, Deena and Dustin Cummins, Traci Guritz, Caine (Chantel) Johnson, Jon (Amber) Hoekstra, Vanessa Hoekstra, Cory Nelson, Andrew Doss; 3 great-nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bret and Penny Cobb. The family will greet friends at the Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 3616 M-40, Hamilton on Monday from 6-8 p.m. A visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. David Selleck officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Brenda may be made to a College Fund for her children or Hospice of Holland.
