Mary Hiscock Obituary

Mary E. Hiscock Battle Creek Mary E. Hiscock, 88 of Battle Creek passed away Tuesday September 29, 2009 at The Oaks at North Pointe Woods. She was born on May 27, 1921 in Newton Township to Ned L. and Bessie H. (Fenn) Kay. Mary graduated from Marshall High School. She married Robert D. Hiscock on April 12, 1941. She helped Bob with the farm and later was employed by Felpausch as a food demonstrator and was a speaker for the Farm Bureau Women's group. She is survived by her husband, Robert D. Hiscock, at the Oaks at North Pointe Woods, a daughter, Sue A. (Michael) Poteet, of Kalamazoo, grandchildren, Kurtis Maclane and Heather Maclane-Bootz, five great-grandchildren and a sister, Jean Robinson, of Battle Creek. Mary was preceded in death by a son, Jack Hiscock, and brothers, Lawrence and John Kay. She was a member of Convis Union United Methodist Church, its Women's Society and Hearth and Home Group. Mary enjoyed square dancing and camping at Tri-Lakes Campground. Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday October 1, 2009 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Convis Union United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be given to Convis Union United Methodist Church.
