Marjorie Warren Obituary

Marjorie E. Warren Battle Creek Marjorie E. Warren, 80, died Monday, October 5, 2009 at Battle Creek Health Systems. She was born in Battle Creek on March 28, 1929 the daughter of Lloyd V. and Beatrice I. (Cullver) Parker. Marjorie retired from Federal Home & Life Insurance Company after more than 20 years of faithful service. Marjorie married Charles F. "Chuck" Warren in Battle Creek on March 8, 1946; he preceded her in death on January 13, 1999. She is survived by her son, David A. (Deborah) Warren of North Carolina; her daughter, Karen (Si) Corey of Battle Creek; 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Marjorie was a charter member of the Redemption Lutheran church, where she served as the church secretary in the church's early years and sang in the choir. She enjoyed sewing, needlework and was very creative. Marjorie truly loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. At the request of the family, they will receive friends 5:00 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2009 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. Funeral services to celebrate Marjorie's life will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Redemption Lutheran Church, 2450 W. Michigan Ave., Battle Creek with Pastor Karl N. Strenge, officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Redemption Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society or American Lung Association.
