Donald A. Seifke Burlington Donald A. Seifke, 96, of Burlington, passed away October 10, 2009 at The Manor of Battle Creek. He was born May 12, 1913 in Oak Harbor, Ohio to Amiel and Julia (Blausey) Seifke. He attended Oak Harbor, Clay Center and Genoa, Ohio schools. At the age of 16 he moved to Michigan and has farmed ever since. On March 28, 1936 he married Ethel Spooner. She preceded him in death in 2001. Donald is survived by 4 sisters; Wilma Tomlin, Arletta Crotser, Judy Wentworth, and Arlene Schragg, all of Battle Creek, 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel, son, Arnold, 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Donald was a member of Farm Bureau, AARP and Michigan Motor Home Club. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Putnam Funeral Home in Union City. Services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Putnam Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Shafe officiating.
