I remembered the ice cream story last night. Diane would come and stay with us on the weekends. Mom (Agnes)loved cottage cheese,Diane thought she was eating ice cream and mom could not convince Diane (age 8) that it was not ice cream, so finally mom thinking Diane might like cottage cheese gave her a spoon full and I can still remember the face and cry Diane let out when she realized it tasted bad. After that Mom always had ice cream every time Diane came, but Diane never ate the ice cream because she thought it would taste like cottage cheese. Mom always regreted that Diane would never eat ice cream after that, so if Diane never ate ice cream the rest of her life, now you know why. I wish I could have told Diane the story and both of us laugh about it, but I am sure she & mom are eating ice cream together now and laughing about it. Bless all of you, Carolyn
