Dear Cripps family,
We were so sorry to hear about the passing of Jackie. We had just visited with all of you at Patty Hansens's funeral and talked about how she was doing, so it was quite a shock.
I always remember loving Jackie's Aussie accent and her ready laugh and twinkle in her eye. A clear memory is of Rita Swonk, my mom ,Jeanne Christiansen and herself shopping in Kalamazoo the day of the terrible tornado back in 1980, I beleive. They were at Maple Hill Mall, right in the most destructive path, and were totally oblivious that they were in any danger at all! Upon returning home they found all their respective husbands in a panic as to their whereabouts and well-being. They just laughed and said they were FINE and that the husband's worried too much!! True shoppers, the three of them!!
Our thought and prayers are with you all at this time of hardship.

Dear Cripps family,
Jackie was a beautiful and loving person. For everyone who came into contact with Jackie, she shared her spirit and love of life. I will always remember meeting Don and Jackie through my grandparents (Bernard and Rita Swonk) during mass at St. Joseph. I enjoyed listening to Jackie's stories about Australia and was able to see her sewing talents when she made my sister's (Krista Hansen) graduation dress. After my mother's funeral (October 15th) I visited her friend Gloria Morris at Evergreen Manor and made it a point to visit with Jackie. I gave her the blessings of our family (including Kathy and Rita). From my own personal experience (having just lost my mother and grandpa Swonk suffering from a similar disease as Jackie), I am comforted to know that her spirit is free. She is someone that I am glad to have met in this life and I am thankful she shared her love and spirit with such a wonderful family.
Sincerely,
Jon Hansen

To the Cripps family,
I cannot express how sad I am about Jackie's leaving us. Jackie truly was one of a kind and I know that everyone that knew her had to have loved her as I did. I'll miss her cute accent, smiling face, friendly, cheerful attitude, wonderful laugh, and above all, her kind, gentle heart and uplifting spirit.

Hi Anne and Harry,
I read you Mother's obit when it appeared in the Enquirer, but missed that fact that she was your Mother, Anne.
It described a vibrant and interesting woman with many interests. In my view, that pretty much hits the bullseye in life.
I'm sorry to learn of her passing, but I sense she gave and received a full measure of happiness during her time with you and your family.
Sincerely,
Ed & Betty Williams

Denny, I am so sorry to hear of the death of your mom. My only real memory of her was her lovely accent. You are fortunate to have had her in your life and that of your son and grandson. My dad's been gone 32years and my mom 22yrs. They were of a different generation than your parents. Please give you dad and Jeanne my condolences too. My prayers are with all of you.
