Bonnie J. Westcott

Bonnie J. Westcott Hickory Corners Bonnie J. Westcott, age 79, died Saturday afternoon, November 14, 2009 at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo, MI, following a lengthy illness. Bonnie was born on April 27, 1930 at Hickory Corners and was a lifetime area resident. She was the daughter of Merrill and Elsie (VandenBoss) Hursley. Bonnie was a 1947 graduate of Kellogg High School, Richland, MI. She retired in 1991 as a Customer Service Representative for Fifth Third Bank at both the Gull Road and Richland Offices, after 25 years of faithful service. Bonnie enjoyed Casino bus trips and was an avid jewelry collector, but her two favorite passions were cooking for her family and fishing off a dock at Gull Lake. On February 17, 1951 at Hickory Corners, Bonnie was united in marriage to James W. "Jim" Westcott, and he survives. Also surviving is her daughter, Joyce L. (Tom) Mosier of Parchment, MI; her son, Warren L. "Bud" (Judy) Westcott of Cheboygan, MI; four grandchildren, who she loved and cherished, Mindy, John, Wayne and Brad and her two sisters, Marilyn "Snooks" Bushell of Alpena, MI and Audrey Angeletti of Plainwell, MI. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers, Edward and Peter. At Bonnie's request, there will be no visitation or service. Final interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. Memorial contributions in Bonnie's honor may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P. O.
