Dear Shirley, Lynne,Toni and family,

I have very fond memories of all of you as we were next-door-neighbors living at 7711 6th Ave. or "at the airport" as we referred to it so much of the time. I thought your Father was strict, because he made you eat "liver" on Fridays! On the other hand I thought it was so cool he brought the latest "HIT RECORD'S" home to Lynne! Anyway, it was fun having the Shelton's as our neighbors.

Our sympathy and prayers are with you as you go through this time of loss.

Hi Lynn,Toni, and your Mom
My prayers are with all of you.
There are several things I remember about your Father. But before I tell about that I thought I would jog your memories about Beachfield Dr. history. Of course Lynn use to babysit the Rush kids on several occasions, I suppose you were a hot teenage girl at the time, but I guess I was to young to be thinking that way, but I'm sure you were. Toni who I think was maybe the second, or third girl I ever kissed. Sorry Toni I think Kim Mitts was the first. Though you might have been my first official, or unofficial girlfriend. do you remember? Now about your father. What I remember in the early years is that when going by your house, either walking or riding a bike you could always see your Dad sitting in his living room chair if he was home. I also think I remember your Dad moving the sprinkler around. Did he wear tank top white t-shirts? I seem to recall that. Also did he get the jute boxes for the yearly St. parties?
Later I played golf with him, and had coffee at Speeds on occasion. I guess are generation is up next as our parents generation fades out. Just know that in my mind that there will never be a street, and or people like the Beachfield Dr. gang, both adults, and kids in the 60s, and 70s. Your Father was just as a big part of that era as anybody else living on BEACHFIELD DRIVE. Its important to remember all the good thoughts! Tod Rush
