Violet Miller Obituary

Violet C. Miller Albion Violet C. Miller, age 96, of Albion, passed away November 28, 2009 at Tendercare of Albion. She was born February 18, 1913 in Hillsdale County to Delbert and Chrissie (Perkins) Britton. She had worked in the Cambria area in 1968. When she moved to Albion, she worked as a laundress at Home Laundry. For 28 years Violet was married to Frank Parney who preceded her in death in 1960. In 1972, she married Robert "Bert" Miller who survives. She was a member of Leisure Hour Club in Albion. Violet enjoyed hunting, cooking and baking, sewing and gardening. Survivors include: her husband, Robert "Bert" Miller; daughter, Donelta Day and son, Jr and Martha Parney, all of Albion; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Parney; one brother, Ernest Britton; one half brother, Garford Britton; and half sister, Audrey Seward. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, with Rev. Walter Hicks officiating. Interment will be at Cambria #1 Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Oaklawn Hospice or St. Paul Lutheran Church in Albion. www.kevintiddfuneralhome.com
