Edna Horton Obituary

Edna Kay Horton Battle Creek Edna Kay Horton, age 66, died Wednesday evening, November 25, 2009, at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence, Battle Creek, surrounded by her loving family. Edna was born on October 10, 1943 in Clinton, IA and was the daughter of William A. and Grace L. (Carrington) Leonard. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, dancing and shopping, but her true passion in life was spending time with her family. On June 26, 1971, Edna was united in marriage to Clifton J. Horton, Jr., who preceded her in death on September 23, 2007. Surviving is her daughter, Michelle G. (Brian) Bonney of Fort Raleigh, KS and her six grandchildren, Koren (Nick) Hernandez, Devin Decker, Morgan Decker, Brendan Decker, Abby Bonney and Gabe Bonney. She was preceded in death by her parents. At Edna's request, there will be no visitation or service. A memorial service to celebrate Edna's life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Edna's honor may be made to Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice, 166 E. Goodale Avenue, Battle Creek, MI, 49017. The Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek, was in charge of all the arrangements. Personal messages for the family may be directed to www.farleyestesdowdle.com
