Robert J. Briggs Athens Robert J. Briggs, age 60, of Athens, Michigan passed away Sunday December 6, 2009. He was born May 7, 1949, in Vicksburg to Robert and Laura (Slack) Briggs. He graduated from Vicksburg High School in 1967. He married Sharon Conine on August 22, 1968. He enjoyed working in the garage making countertops and cabinets, and talking. He also loved playing with his great grandchildren. Many would describe him as ornery and stubborn; as well as admirable, generous, and devoted to his family. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Briggs and his brother Dennis Briggs. Bob is survived by his wife Sharon of 41 years also his 3 children, Robert (Shellie), Michele, Sherri, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, his mother Laura, his brother George, and sister Kristine. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the family. Service: 12 o'clock Friday December 11, 2009 with Pastor Marvin Savola officiating with full military honors by the Athens V.F.W.
