Leatha Williams Obituary

Leatha Mae Williams Bedford Township Leatha Mae Williams, 83, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at her home. She was born August 26, 1926, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Alfred and Esther (Hiller) Sherman. Leatha was a homemaker most of her life. Her enjoyments included flower and vegetable gardening and reading. When she was younger she enjoyed bowling. Leatha married Mr. Lewis C. Williams on November 22, 1948 in Battle Creek. He survives her. She is also survived by her sons Lewis C. (Deborah), Lester J. (Linda) and Michael R. (Peggy) Williams all of Battle Creek. She also leaves nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother Richard Sherman of Battle Creek and sister Hazel Huisman of Florida and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Gary Williams in 1962, brothers Clayton and Alfred Sherman and half brothers John and Ray Sherman. Visitation will be from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. and 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Thursday at Royal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m., Friday, December 18, 2009 at Royal Funeral Home.
