Ruth B. Maisner Marshall Ruth B. Maisner, age 89, of Marshall, died on Tuesday evening, December 15, 2009 at Lifespan Hospice Residence. Ruth was born on September 2, 1920 at home in Fredonia Township to George C. and Anne M. (Kuchenbecker) Myers. She attended country school in Fredonia Township then Marshall High School from where she graduated in 1937. Ruth was married to Arthur F. Maisner on June 29, 1946 at Zion Lutheran Church. Art and Ruth farmed in Marshall Township until moving into Marshall in 1958. Art preceded Ruth in death on January 9, 2001. Ruth retired from Consumer's Power Company in 1976. She had worked for them as a Customer Service Representative since 1961. Prior to that she worked at J.H. Cronin Company. Ruth was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she had belonged to the Zion Senior Fellowship and the Helping Hands Circle. Ruth enjoyed attending Bible Study. She was a member of the Kilowatt Creekers. Ruth was a longtime member of the Oaklawn Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the hospital on a regular basis. Ruth and Art enjoyed many trips together after retirement. Ruth liked to garden at her home. Reading was a favorite pastime and as a result Ruth was a regular at the Marshall District Library. She was an accomplished seamstress making many of her's and Art's clothes. She enjoyed knitting and needlework. Ruth crocheted beautiful sweaters to go with her outfits. Ruth is survived by several cousins, and special friends Vicki J. Metzger of Marshall and Connie M. Sundberg of Homer . She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother-in-law Joel C. Case in 1975 and sister Dorothy G. Case in 1981. Friends may call at Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Friday, Dec. 18 from 2p.m.to 8p.m.where family will be present to greet friends and share memories from 2p.m. to 4p.m. and 6p.m. to 8p.m. Services to celebrate Ruth's life and her Lord will be held at Kempf Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 11a.m. with Rev. Roger James of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
