Rebecca DeCamp Obituary

Rebecca A. DeCamp Battle Creek Rebecca A. DeCamp, age 86, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the Battle Creek Health System. She was born October 12, 1923 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Laurence and Irene (Walker) Reed. A 1941 graduate of Galesburg High School, she had worked at the Fort Custer State Home and prior to her retirement in 1985 worked at the Doris Klaussen School for 15 years. Rebecca enjoyed gardening and watching sports on television. On August 4, 1945 she was married to Bernard A. DeCamp who preceded her in death on June 26, 1995. Surviving is her son, Art (Janet) DeCamp; daughter: Linda (Bill Smith) Dyer both of Battle Creek; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and one sister: Polly Youngs of Fulton. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Private Graveside services will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Doris Klaussen Developmental Center. Arrangements by the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.
