Dorothy Wilson Obituary

Dorothy V. Wilson Battle Creek Dorothy V. Wilson, 99, of Battle Creek passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Battle Creek Health Systems. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on November 17, 1910 the daughter of Dewey and Elizabeth Allen. Dorothy retired from the United States Army after more than 25 years of faithful service in the Finance & Accounting Department. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Valley of Fire Chapter and the "As You Like It" Bridge Club. Dorothy married Charles R. Wilson in July of 1933; he preceded her in death on September 22, 1991. She is survived by her son, Richard William (Joyce) Wilson of Battle Creek; 2 grandchildren, Merrick Victor Wilson of Kalamazoo and Richard Charles (Suzanne) Wilson of Battle Creek; 2 great-grandchildren, Maya and Eliana Wilson; her nephew, Robert Allen; 3 nieces, Mary Ellen Bourgeois, Mildred Hopkins, Dolores Elliott; and her caregiver and dear friend, Charlene Miller of Battle Creek. At the request of the family, A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the St. Ann Catholic Church 312 S. Main Street, Bellevue. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Ann Catholic Church or Lifespan Hospice would be appreciated. Arrangements by the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek. Richard and Joyce-
I am sorry to hear about your Mother, Richard. I'm sure Merrick and Rick brought her great joy as did her great-grandchildren. She is at peace now and I hope you reflect often on those wonderful memories you have of her.
