David B. Knapp Battle Creek David B. Knapp, 45, formerly of Battle Creek passed away in Florida on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. He was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania on August 28, 1964 the son of David and Peggy Knapp. David married Becky Corum on May 6, 2001; she survives. He is also survived by his 2 daughters, Ashley Knapp and Erin Knapp, both of Battle Creek; a step-son, Steven Roddy of Florida; his parents, David (Sid) Knapp of Pennsylvania and Peggy (Jim) Spaulding of Pennsylvania; 3 sisters, Kimberly Goss of Battle Creek, Melissa (Barry) Drake of Pennsylvania, Cindy (Barry) Raynor of North Carolina and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. David is furthered survived by a special friend, Jerry Riever of Battle Creek who trained and raised all of David's horses and for many years shared a close friendship. David was an employee and member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local #333 of Battle Creek. He had a great love for horses and horse racing. A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home.
