William Colley Obituary

William Barney Colley Battle Creek William Barney Colley, 55, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born January 20, 1955 in Battle Creek the son of James Earl and Florentine (Gilbert) Colley. He lived in Battle Creek most of his life except for 4 years which he lived in Las Vegas. Bill was employed by Battle Creek Health System for 37 years in Bio Medical Engineering as a technician. He belonged to the B.C. Van Club. Biking was Bill's passion; he looked forward to the Palm ride every year. He enjoyed kite flying, ice fishing and antique collecting. Bill also enjoyed doing things for people in a quiet way. He went to the Wheatland Music Festival and Shipshewana for over 25 years. He is survived by his father, James Colley; sister, Christine Davis; niece and nephew, Kristy (John Jackson) Warren, Mark Allen (Heather Cretsinger) Warren; great niece and nephew, Breonna and Curtis Warren. He is also survived by his life time partner, Michele Osborn, her son, Ryan (Erikka Slater) Osborn; grandchildren, Kabe, Carmen and Philip who will miss their "PaPa" deeply. He was preceded in death by his mother, Florentine and niece, Beverly Ann Davis-Wiggins. Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Saturday from 2:00 until the time of the service. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 3:00 p.m. at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Rev. Carolyn Robinson-Fisher officiating. Memorial tributes may be made to American Heart Association. I was sorry to here of Bill's passing. He was a person you count on in a pinch. I recall an episode a few years back when he and Rick and I shared the office space that is now the Clincal Informatics area. I was myself having a "health issue" and if Bill hadn't been there to get a wheelchair and help me to ER I don't know where I would be today. I am glad to have know him.
