Rodney and I have worked together many times over the years, He was always a Gentlemans' Gentleman and Christian in heart. Always willing to listen and work as a team. I'll miss him greatly.

Lynell, My heart is aching ever since I heard of Rodney's death. All my early memories at Central Baptist were formed with you and Rodney being my role models. He was such a gentle and loving man and a wonderful Christian role-model. Take comfort that he is in the arms of His Savior. My prayers continue for your peace and comfort.

To all the friends and family, my heartfelt prayers and thoughts. Mr. Horn was my favorite teacher; his example of Christian character and faith was a plumbline for so many of us. I was deeply saddened to hear of Rodney's death. I grew up in awe of him (and Lynell) at Central Baptist Church. It is reassuring to know that Rodney is with our Lord and Savior in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with the Horn family.

Words cannot express my sorrow upon hearing of Rodney's death. I last saw him when he came to the funeral home when my mother died last year. We appreciated so much his thoughtfulness and kind words for her. I pray that the Lord will give you comfort and sustain you during the long days and nights ahead. God bless all of you.

Rodney was one of the best math teachers I ever had. He was so patient and willing to go the extra mile to explain concepts to me. He was a shining example to the students of what a Christian man should be. He was steadfast in his love for his church, community, and family. I am saddened for your family as you will miss him very much, but rejoice for Rodney as we know that he is walking with Jesus.

I grew up in Central Baptist Church and remember the Horns so very well. They were all wonderful people. The last time I saw Mr. Horn was at my grandmother's (Madeline Britt)memorial service. It meant so much to my mother that he took the time to attend. He was a fine example of a faithful Believer! Our prayers are with the family at this sad time but know that he is at home with his Father.

God placed Rodney in my life by default. I married his little sister. I am so very thankful to have had a role model who changed my life and showed me how to be a man and a dad and a loving son. Words are not adequate to express our hurt at losing him or our joy at having known and loved him. I can truly say "this man walked with God". I will miss his wisdom, his patience, his humor, his love, and his wealth of history.

Rodney was such an incredible man. Always loving and caring; always had Jesus in his heart, and showed that to others. Lacey is my daughter-in-law, and Rodney treated David like a son. My earliest memory of Rodney is sharing a seat with him on Bus 31 when I was a small child. He was kind, gentle, and displayed a Christian character that become a trademark. Nine years later, I walked into his Freshman math class. He was a great teacher, and taught me a lot. Four years after graduation, I looked up and came face to face with him at the Paper Mill. Our paths have crossed often since, and he was always a gentleman and a friend. So many will miss him in so many ways. My deepest sympathies to Lynell and his family.

I live directly across the street from Rodney and Lynell Horn; The Horns have been a tremendous blessing in our lives,not only have they been wonderful neighbors, they have been freinds who have inspired my Wife and I with their shining example of what God had intended when He created the institution of marriage.I am forever changed by this great loss and pray that I can one day hear those very first words that I know Rodney heard when he arrived in Heaven " WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT".
