Catherine Coughlin Obituary
Catherine J. Coughlin, nee Leveling, 61, of Belleville, Ill., born Tuesday, Jan. 21, 1947, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Coughlin was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and was very active at Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Althoff High School.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph H. and Frances H., nee Haberl, Leveling; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph (Nancy) Leveling; sister and brother-in-law, Mary (Tom) Moll.
Surviving are her husband, George B Coughlin; children, Craig (Dana) Coughlin of Millstadt, Ill., Cass (Carmen) Coughlin of Emporia, Kan., and Shawn Coughlin of Belleville, Ill.; brothers, James (Peggy) Leveling of New Baden, Ill., Ray (Carolyn) Leveling of Collinsville, Ill., John (Joan) Leveling of Swansea, Ill., and Norman (Rita) Leveling of Swansea, Ill.; sister, Carol Ann (Duane) McClanahan of Dupo, Ill.; grandchildren, Jessica Coughlin, Wyatt Coughlin and Grace Coughlin; dear nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Blessed Sacrament Endowment Fund.
Visitation: Friends may call 2 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 9:45 a.m. Monday, Sept 8, 2008, from the funeral home for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill., with Fr. Clyde Grogan officiating. Interment will follow at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
