I live in Colorado and I saw this in our paper this morning. I was so surprised because I knew of sister Jean. My granddaughter graduated from Loyola college and she loved sister Jean. She helped her in different sport events and I just got to know her because of Alicia. She talked about sister Jean a lot. I felt like I knew her and I felt very comfortable about knowing her and I read her book and really liked it but I had a sister that was a nun who died in 2002 and maybe that´s why I kinda had this special bond with sister Jean. Condolence to her family what´s left and all her friends that she made through the years rest in peace Sister Jean.

I feel I was received a gift that will be a life-long treasure. Just the words "Sister Jean" and I smile and feel inspired by her energy and moved to be kind and passionate and accessible and consistently prayerful. Ah, to all who love St. Jean and know the power of her compassion, be blessed and kind.

Sister Jean, God Speed and bless you for your wondeful service to God, Loyola University Chicago, and all of the students, faculty and friends you have touched over the past years. You are a heroine and a friend to many at Loyola University Chicago especially the mens' basketball team praying with them before every game. You have inspired so many people just by your very presence and knowing the genuine person you were.
Your book, Wake up with Purpose, is a testimony to the giving and thoughtful person you were.
We will miss you.

I am not of Catholic Faith, but this young I really enjoyed seeing her during the playoffs. That smile could light up a room. An inspiration to hundreds of people. May she rest in peace. We will see that smile again someday.
