James Wells Obituary

WELLS, LT. JAMES E., JR., age 49, of McCalla, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2006. A former employee of Alabama Power for 16 years. Mr. Wells was a deacon and faithful member of Loveless Park Baptist Church. He was employed at both Pelham Fire Department and McAdory Fire Department as a Lieutenant Fire Medic. Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Pelham on Friday, June 9, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens. Rev. Joel Frederick will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church. Lt. Wells is survived by his: wife, Donna Wells; daughter, Kristen; son, Matthew; parents, Mr. & Mrs. James E. Wells, Sr.; sister, Sarah Crowe; and in-laws, Mr. & Mrs. Donnie Stephens. Donations may be made to an educational fund set up for his children through First Financial Bank, 4790 Eastern Valley Road, McCalla, AL 35111. Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home will be serving the Wells family, 425-2424 .

Jim was an absoulutely top notch fellow. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I worked along side of him back in the 80's in the ER at Lloyd Noland. My prayers are with you and may you be blessed with the calm assurance of God's love, and knowing that Jim is in the presence of the Almighty.
