Ruth G. Thomas
Ruth G. Thomas, 91, of the Trinity Living Center in Grove City, formerly of Brady Township, died Dec. 7 at her home.
Born Oct. 13, 1916, in Sykesville, she was the daughter of John and Mary Null Northey.
She was a member of the Highland Presbyterian Church of Slippery Rock.
Mrs. Thomas frequently corresponded by cards and letters with friends and relatives around the world and was an avid reader.
She was retired from the library at Slippery Rock University.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin C. Thomas, who she married May 15, 1939.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda Staff and her husband, George, of Wellsboro; three sons, Alan Thomas and his wife, Elaine, of Clearwater, Fla, Eric Thomas and his wife, Charlotte, of Slippery Rock and David Thomas and his wife, Erla, of Maryville, Tenn; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
THOMAS - Funeral services for Ruth G. Thomas, who died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, are being completed by Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Butler Public Library or to a library of the donor's choice.
