Another year has passed and I still miss Gregg. I miss our conversations and how he always made me laugh and of course our love of squirrels is what made our friendship so special. I know he and Happy, his beloved squirrel, are having a blast!

It will be 14 years since we lost Gregg Bassett. I will never forget him and his wonderful sense of humor. I miss the way he made me laugh. I am still feeding and caring for my many backyard squirrels and think of him every time I see them. He is truly missed. I can only keep the hope that one day I will see him again on the other side of the rainbow bridge smiling and holding Happy and my Emily in his arms.

Gregg was one of a kind when it came to animals....especially squirrels...He was such and advocate for them....I still miss him to this very day. I know he is entertaining many squirrels up there over the rainbow bridge and I hope to see him again one day....I know he's taking care of my squirrel Emily too!

Kathy, we are so sad to hear of Gregg's passing. He was such a fine man. His love of squirrels and his club allowed the members to connect with other people to make this world a better place for one of God's creatures. He will live in all of our hearts forever. He brought joy into a lot of lives. That's a wonderful legacy.

Kathy, I'm so sorry to learn of Gregg's passing. Oh, how the squirrels at the Bridge must be rejoicing to have him in their midst. And you know that's right where he is! Thank you, Gregg, champion of our precious squirrels.

I am going to miss Gregg so much. He was a comfort to me when I lost my pet squirrel Emily, and I joined his club. I had the privelege of meeting Gregg this past May at the White Squirrel Festival. He has inspired me to write three squirrel songs, which were to be placed in his catalog of squirrely products one day. We shared alot of laughs and squirrel stories. The world has truely lost a wonderful, caring man and I know as sure as I breath that he will be watching over all the squirrels and my little Emily will be there to keep him company too. I will miss you so very much Gregg, but I know we will meet again on the other side. Every time I see a squirrel, I see you.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Greg but I hope he will watch over all the squirrels and all our pals at the Bridge. May you find peace and comfort knowing how many lives he touched, both animal and human.

I know Gregg is happily dancing with the squirrels on the other side. He'll be recognizing our little furbabies who crossed before and one day we'll have a party together.
Prayers and love to you.

The world is always a less happy place when a squirrel lover or a squirrel leaves us. May the gentle brush of angel wings remind you of the soft squirrel tails Gregg so loved to touch. A kind and gentle man has left us, a kindred spirit remains. His loving legacy will live on.
Peace
Gregg, we will miss seeing you at the White Squirrel Festival in Brevard, NC. Jennifer and Elliot

Kathy, Gregg was only the second squirrel person I found after falling in love with squirrels. I will never forget the time we met and went for Chicago pizza when I was visiting Sears for business. Gregg showed me his videos and I met Happy and you. We are all so very saddened about your loss and the loss to the squirrel world. We have all lost a good, gentle man who cared so much about our little friends.

Please accept my sympathies over Gregg's passing. I was a member of the Club for several years and met Gregg once at the White Squirrel Festival in NC. He was a lovely person, and I'm sure that the world (and the squirrels in it) will miss his warm and caring nature.

Hi Kathy
I'm a squirrel lover and Gregg was my hero. His thoughtful phone call when my "Flash the Fox Squirrel" was so sick (he advised a visit to the vet) saved his life. Always a fan and shared the passion of the silly Squirrels. We've lost a gentle soul.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Though I never met Mr. Bassett, I had sent him an e-mail in regards to my moving and my fear of what would happen to the squirrels in my yard. He sent me the nicest reply and I was touched by how kind and caring a man he seemed to be. Rest assured that his kindness and love for his critters will be carried on in his name.

Kathy, I know this has been like a bad dream for you. We are all in shock. But now you are left with your fond memories of Greg and all that he has been to you. Greg was one of the "good guys," loved by all. I'm glad that I got to know him.
We'll be in touch.

Kathy,
Gregg will be remember by all for his wit and humor he had. I can remember him always talking about Johnny Carson when we would get together with the neighbors. He was the life of the block parties with Happy the squirrel. He was a good friend and neighbor. He will be missed.
