GELORMINO Lucy T. Gelormino, age 86 of Stratford, died on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Milford Hospital. Miss Gelormino had been a resident at West River Health Care Center in Milford for more than two years, where she made many wonderful friends. She was a retired seamstress with Commercial Shirt in Bridgeport. She had previously lived at Elm Gardens in Stratford where she enjoyed playing bingo with her friends. Lucy loved animals and often walked from her home to the Stratford Animal Shelter to visit the stray dogs and cats. She is survived by three sisters, Eleanor Gannon of Stratford, Rachael Turiano and her husband, Michael of Stratford and Edith Riccio of Bridgeport; three sisters-in-law, Grayce Gelormino, Vera Gallo and Rose Gelormino; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Emily Gravino; and two brothers, Pat and Louis Gelormino. Her family would like to acknowledge the staff at West River Health Care Center for the incredible loving care they bestowed upon Lucy. A Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church will be announced in a future edition of the Connecticut Post by the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. All other services will be private at Lucy's request.
