David Warren Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 8, 2008.
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — David Warren passed away at his home on June 2, 2008, after a long illness, surrounded by his family. A resident of Grand Junction, Colo., David was 87 years old.

David was born in Lisbon, N.H., in 1920, and spent all but the last eight months of his life on the East Coast. He attended Exeter Academy in New Hampshire and graduated from Dartmouth College in 1942, with a master of science degree in engineering and business administration. He served in the Navy from 1942 to 1944. In 1946, David married Jeannette Biart and began working for the Nash Engineering Company. He retired in 1985 as vice president of sales.

David loved skiing, sailing, and spending time with his family. He derived great satisfaction from teaching advanced piloting and navigation classes through the Norwalk Power Squadron. After retirement, he and Jeannette moved to Cape Cod, where they continued to enjoy lifelong friends, family, and the water.

David is survived by Jeannette, his wife of 62 years; his children, Sally of Glade Park, Colo., Suzanne of Hood River, Ore., and David of Paonia, Colo.; six grandchildren; and a sister, Bette Wilbur of Cape Cod. He is preceded in death by his daughter Elizabeth.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14, at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, 1425 North 5th Street, Grand Junction, Colo.
